The Head, Heather Duncan, and Governing Body :

I am proud and delighted with the sixth form results this year. They continue to reflect the hard work of our pupils and staff and the support they have been given by their families.

Lewis Girls’ school achieved a 97% pass rate on our level 3 courses with over 70% being at A* - C (or equivalent) grades.

As always, there were some exceptional individual performances:

Charlotte Fletcher achieved two A* (in maths and further maths), two As (in Chemistry and Physics) as well as gaining the Welsh Bacc. Charlotte is accepted to study Maths at Warwick.

Equally happy is Lauren Powell, Head girl, who has gained A*s in Law and Politics and an A in History as well as gaining the Welsh Bacc. She will study Politics and International relations at Bath.

Tayla Baker picked up three As in Biology, Chemistry and IT as well as achieving the Welsh Bacc. Tayla will study dentistry at Bristol.

Results in Vocational A levels are, again, outstanding in subjects such as performing arts, Health and Social care and graphics. Laura Smith, Cherokee Piper-Fuller -Jones, Ellie-Jo Lewis and Elle Davies gained double star distinctions in their subjects.

Our students are a credit to the school and their families and will inspire pupils in the rest of the school. I wish all of our students the very best in their future careers or studies.
